Prior to enrolling with the School, applicants must complete a Student Pre-Enrollment Form and submit it with the non-refundable registration fee, schedule an appointment with the Operations Manager, and submit other information which may be required to determine qualifications for enrollment. Students must have an acceptable driving record, pass a DOT Physical, drug & alcohol screen, and meet Admission Requirements in order to benefit from the program(s) being offered.
Steps to take to enroll:
1. Contact the School or a representative of the School to find out more information, tour the facilities, fill out a Student Pre-Enrollment Form, and submit the form along with the
$100.00 USD Non-Refundable Registration Fee, a copy of your valid D.L. and S.S.N card, and sign for, receive, and review the current School Catalog.
2. Schedule an interview with the Operations Manager, complete and sign the Student Enrollment Agreement, and any other student agreements. NOTE: Prior to signing the Student Enrollment Agreement, applicants must first acknowledge receipt and understanding of the current School Catalog.
3. Attend a mandatory student orientation. Orientations are scheduled every Monday at the beginning of a new scheduled class start date.
NNCT enrollment is open and the student may attend a future class date after acceptance. The applicant may apply for enrollment in person at our administrative office location or with any of our Official Representatives of the School. Class dates will generally start on a Monday beginning with a mandatory class orientation. Students must attend orientation to complete the Student Enrollment Agreement and any other paperwork needed in order to satisfy the School's policies and procedures. Class dates are subject to change without notice at any given time in order to accommodate any unusual circumstances beyond the control of the School or for any reason the School deems needed.
The following beginning class dates are in effect, til the next School Catalog revision:
A CLASS WILL START ON A MONDAY (EXCLUDING HOLIDAYS), OR WHEN A MINIMUM OF 4 OR A MAXIMUM OF 8 STUDENTS HAVE ENROLLED. THERE MAY MORE THAN ONE CLASS AT A TIME.
*Classes are based on a first come first served basis, it is important to register early to ensure a seat for the intended class date you desire.
Classes are scheduled from Monday through Friday from 8am to 5pm, with a mandatory orientation from 10am to 12pm the first Monday at the start of every new class. *Evening classes are from 5pm to 9pm. Weekend classes are from between the hours of 8am til 8pm. *(Evening and Weekend hours will vary according to the availability of training personnel and/or resources.)
The following holidays will occur during the regular schedule of classes: Labor Day, Christmas, Thanksgiving, Martin Luther King’s Birthday, Memorial Day, and Independence Day, or any other School Authorized observed holiday or religious ceremonial events. Classes scheduled on any of these days may be made up on by extending class beyond the scheduled ending date and/or attendance in the evening or weekend classes. NOTE: There will be two night driving lessons per class; your instructor will advise you of those dates. Scheduling is subject to change. NNCT reserves the right to cancel courses or make changes due to unforeseen circumstances of any type.
The School may postpone the scheduled starting date of a program due to unplanned events; such as an act of God, illness of instructors, or lack of student count to justify a sufficient class enrollment. The maximum period of delay depends on the degree of the situation. The School refund policy will be adjusted accordingly to the incident at the time.
The only case in which the nature of the School will change is dependent on the laws of the state that govern commercial drivers. In which case the expenses will not affect the current enrollment in the program(s), but may affect the future classes as far as courses taught and cost of the program(s). Grounds for termination from any program include the student knowingly giving false information on the application, contract or any other School document. If the student fails a drug test or physical required by Department of Transportation, or is involved in an illegal act while enrolled at NNCT; this will also be grounds for termination without refund.
The School does not provide either State or Federal financial aid. If a student obtains a loan to pay for a training course, the student will have the responsibility to repay the full amount of the loan plus any interest, less the amount of any refund.
NNCT is currently not approved for any GI Bill approved benefits. However, if you are a veteran and are affiliated with an approved veterans program, the School may offer free training to veterans who qualify under a "special provisions" student enrollment for qualified veterans. Please contact the school's Operations Manager for details. Restrictions apply and are subject to availability of seats.
